Togura is a highly terraformed world orbiting a massive yellow giant primary.[42]

Planetary History[edit]

Star League[edit]

During the Star League era, Togura was rich in much-needed industrial metals and rare earths. This spurred growth in heavy industry that outpaced the existing infrastructure. Major industrial concerns fought over water, resources and energy rights. The Star League Defense Force garrison on world spent their time protecting the planet's energy infrastructure such as solar panel farms, deuterium refining facilities and orbital power generators.[42]

Jihad[edit]

Togura was the site of Stellar Trek for many years. However, due to the lack of appropriate natural resources necessary for JumpShip construction, most of the ores and metals needed by the facility were imported from other systems. In addition to the shipbuilding industry, tourism was the other major pillar of Togura's economy. Many people visited the world every year to see the equatorial ocean that surrounds the entire world.[1]

During the fighting against The Word of Blake, the DCMS attempted to redeploy the New Samarkand Militia along with the Toguran Military Garrison to the recently liberated worlds of Deneb Algedi and Telos IV in March 3077. However, the allied coalition rerouted these forces to garrison two newly freed worlds on the Free Worlds League front, and assigned militia forces from the Federated Suns in their place. This was an act that drew protests from Gunji-no-Kanrei Kiyomori Minamoto to General Belle Lee of the allied coalition.[43]

Military Deployment[edit]

3034[edit]

- While stationed on this world, the announcement of the Rasalhague Republic sparked a crisis within the Sabres as former comrades turned on one another.

3085[edit]

- The unit was operating at 30% strength, with 100% of their equipment featuring upgraded technology.

Geography[edit]

Togura has three continents named Shinano, Rikuzen, and Onsen.[1]

Planetary Locations[edit]

  • Shinano (continent)
  • Jigokudani: a windy, lightly urban city[1]
  • Nagano: planetary capital[1]
