Lieutenant Stephan Kirkland was a MechWarrior, who served in the Northwind Highlanders' Marion's Highlanders, during the Fourth Succession War.[1]

Kirkland was a member of the Support Lance, Second Company, Third Battalion of the Marion's Highlanders, during the 3029 Battle of Northwind. Landing on 12 January in Northwind's Rockspire Mountains, with a large Highlander force which had reached an agreement with First Prince Hanse Davion to abandon the Capellan Confederation in return for being able to reclaim their ancestral homeworld, the Highlanders quickly linked up with the Federated Suns forces on-world and forced the opposing Draconis Combine units to retreat off-world.[1]

Kirkland was known to have piloted a VND-1AA Vindicator BattleMech.[1]
